An experienced intrapreneur and CEO, now turned entrepreneur in his own right, Shyam has a demonstrated history of working in various leadership roles in the agriculture, food production, property management and hospitality industry. His last position was President & MD – Griffith Foods, India and Middle East. He is skilled in Strategy, Food & Beverage, Business Planning and Operations Management. A strong business development professional who graduated from the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School, Shyam launched Tier 1 Network with the shared value principle of making a positive difference in the lives of smallholder farmer communities. The focus is to create cutting-edge ingredients and products, sourced from smallholder farms, using the best in class and globally recognized, progressive agricultural practices and technology. His goal is to create a global enterprise with a big heart, whose first target is to live to a higher purpose and make the difference that matters.
Sujesh Govindan
Sujesh is a chemical engineer from the Karnataka Regional Engineering College (NIT) and a post-graduate degree in business from the Scandinavian International Management Institute. He worked with leading multinational companies in the enzymes, nutraceuticals, flavor and food ingredients space, in areas ranging from product design to corporate finance to manufacturing to sales. In his career of over 30 years, Sujesh has excelled in areas of product development, plant engineering, factory construction, operations, and sales & finance. He has worked extensively with top-drawer Indian and global corporations including Biochemizyme, Danisco Cultor, Griffith Foods, V. Mane Fils, Rohm & Haas, and Kaveri Engineering.
Arun Nemali
Arun is a brand storyteller whose skills have been continually honed on Madison Avenue for the last 24 years. He has successfully crafted brand narratives for LG, Dell, McAfee, American Express, Kmart, Toyota, International Paper, JCPenney, Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Sony, and others. He has worked at the flagship offices of advertising agencies such as TBWA/Chiat/Day BBDO, Ogilvy, MullenLowe Profero, KBS, Y&R, and Dentsu. For Arun, the most powerful storytelling ingredient is authenticity. He brings it to bear on every company decision, every marketing communication, and every interaction with the target audience. Arun joined this start up to fulfill a promise he made to himself as a young man – to use his skills to make a difference in the lives of those who are disadvantaged. Nothing makes him happier than to bring appreciation for the smallholder farmers who feed the world while caring for the earth.
Sridar Swamy
As an entrepreneur, Sridar has incubated several companies in the last decade. A Chartered Accountant by training, Sridar spent the early part of his career in investment banking working for Lazard and KPMG. He subsequently worked for the Tata Group as the Head of M&A for Taj Hotels where he was looking at several cross border acquisitions. He subsequently was a Partner at India Advisory Partners, a boutique Investment bank advising international companies on their deals in India and large Indian companies on their acquisitions in Europe. Sridar has also been involved in several social, rural projects. He also teaches in institutions such as ISB Hyderabad and SSIHL in Puttaparthi.
